Technical Sales Representative

Job description

In this role you will: 

  • Secure sales and gross profit of VEG Seeds for the respective geographical area of responsibility and allocated customers, including post sales service.
  • Accelerate product introduction, promotion and demand creation for both new and existing VEG SE varieties in order to boost the sales
  • Organize Demo trials for customers and promote the varieties during the customer visits
  • Support the work of the Marketing & CU teams by providing them with sufficient technical information on the product behavior and performance to help them in the product positioning and sales
  • Execute all the VEG SE marketing and technical actions, relevant for the assigned geographies and customers identified in the detailed crop campaign plan

The main accountabilities of the role will be:

  • Achieve or exceed the defined VEG SE sales objectives for their respective geography.
  • Generate customer demand for VEG seeds relevant to the assigned geography of responsibility to support achieving or exceeding the VEG SE targets
  • Launches PLC 7 varieties with key growers and leverages results via demand generating activities with growers and channel partners
  • Support NPI launches, execute the campaigns by delivering the key messages and promo materials to customers and in alignment with campaign plans
  • Be the technical reference for the assigned VEG crops: provide technical support on varieties to customers and marketing operations (trial visits, presentation, technical document).
  • Collect market, competitor information and varieties performance and share with the VEG BU team
  • Identifies customer needs and pain points and propose solutions to address them
  • Addressing customers complaints for their respective geography and support the process
  • Provide post sales service to the customers
  • Provides technical training & development to customers and the channel
  • Supply short-term forecast information (1 Year) to the Sales Area Manager (SAM)

    Qualifications

    • Agricultural Bachelor degree
    • With strong agronomic and sales experience in VEG, above 3 years of work experience
    • Some marketing experience could be a plus
    • Good knowledge of the Vegetables Seeds market and customer needs
    • Native Spanish speaking with good knowledge of English language
