Role Purpose:

Provide human resources support and advice to site leadership teams, specifically to Line Managers with WL1&2 personnel responsibilities, for the achievement of site business goals, aligning the company's human resources policy, the best practices in HR and ongoing site needs in a solid people management and development plan.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Partner with site leaders to determine people priorities and delivery of HR solutions. Work closely with HRBP to design and deliver best practice HR programs.
  • Advise site leadership on people management aspects, including labor relations, cultural change and people development in line with Syngenta philosophy and policy. Support junior leaders in developing the organizational capability and resources required to enable delivery of business strategy and share feedback to help them develop their leadership capability.
  • Provide change management and catalytic capability to enable leadership team development, organizational development and deliver changes projects, ensuring the alignment with Syngenta's unique culture.
  • Take accountability for the local implementation of high quality and robust HR disciplines such as labor relations, compliance culture, performance management and people development.
  • Provide expert, well-reasoned and flexible technical HR advice and ensure that all people activities and processes are managed in line with Syngenta policy and local regulations and standards.
  • Lead the site employee relations (WL1&2) and be accountable for HR compliance in line with local regulations and standards to manage business risk arising from employment liability.
  • Partner with Syngenta HRBP and HR Ops to ensure effective delivery of HR services on site

Qualifications

Critical success factors & key challenges:

  • College degree in industrial psychology, business engineering, or similar.
  • Desirable Master´s degree in Business Administration, HR, Business Coaching, etc.
  • Strong knowledge in HR functions implementation.
  • At least 3 years of experience in HR fields like recruitment, labor relations, performance management or comp&benefits.
  • Good knowledge about labor law in Guatemala and Agriculture Industry best practices.
  • Strong people and social skills.
  • Strong focus in people strategy, development of partnerships, change management and innovation.
  • Solid implementation of HR programs and services focused on business delivery.
  • Strong relationships with site business leaders, HRBP, COE's and HR Ops.
