Job description

Please note: This role will support the East and West Heartland Commercial Units. This role can be supported remotely from within the EHL & WHL regions. Optimal support location is in the Des Moines, IA area. 

At Syngenta, we are working to build the most collaborative and trusted team in agriculture that provides leading seeds and crop protection innovations to enhance the prosperity of farmers. To support this challenge, Syngenta’s Commercial Team is currently seeking a Regional Account Lead.

This role will establish relationships and maintain robust communication channels to bridge Helena Corporate account management with the Northern Business Unit (NBU) by facilitating seamless information flow, coordinating strategic initiatives, and ensuring consistent messaging across all tiers of the customer's organization.

Accountabilities:

  • Equip and empower Commercial Unit Sales and Marketing teams to develop and execute multi-level outreach aligning to Syngenta account management principles.
  • Design and implement identified CP and Seedcare marketing programs.
  • Deliver budgeted sales volumes of CP and Seedcare products for Regions/Divisions in the NBU.
  • Grow SYT share of wallet in CP and Seedcare.
  • Deliver and execute comprehensive account management plans with Helena Division Management.
  • Maintain regular in-person and remote call frequency with designated Helena NBU personnel.
  • Ensure complete and effective communication of SYT product and program information through the Helena NBU.
  • Provide business information and analysis to the Key Account Manager.
  • Identify and coordinate training to address Helena NBU needs.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required for this role.
  • Must be able to travel throughout the East and West Heartland geography.

Preferred:

  • A minimum of 5 years of field sales experience in Crop Protection.
  • Knowledge of product positioning for key Crop Protection initiatives in East and West Heartland.
  • Knowledge of Syngenta support network and resource availability to satisfy customer needs.
  • Knowledge of sales and market analysis to identify opportunities and actions.
  • Ability to align Syngenta offerings with the Accounts’ needs, business objectives and other key metrics.
