Technical Sales Manager (Ornamentals)

Role purpose:

1. Achieve agreed sales and tech-related targets for Ornamentals business in Lam Dong, including channel management and key account management
2. Accelerate growth opportunities in Ornamental segment through business development and demand creation activities
3. Provide technical support for marketing & commercial for Lam Dong

• Addressing product complaints and customer queries
• Deliver presentation to internal & external stakeholders
• Provide leading technology and solutions to customers
• Develop compelling technical messages
• Consult and contribute to the development of technical strategies for Vietnam.
• Develop and execute demand creation activities from the technical perspective – such as field demos and spray programs to align with marketing campaigns
• Manage the development & introduction of new products in Vietnam

1. Build strong market relationships with key industry personnel, including influencers, end-users, governmental agencies, and extension officers
2. Technical evaluation of new products

Accountabilities:

• Deliver target sales revenue for Lam Dong
• Work with APAC regional team on the technical portfolio strategy and project launch plans
• Support NPI activities – preparing materials for product launches i.e. brochures, presentations, and demo trials (where applicable)
• Ensure field demonstrations communicate advantages and value propositions for Syngenta solutions
• Monitor Competition activities
• Assist in identifying growth opportunities and portfolio gaps.
• Develop technical/product training for farmers and key influencers/channel partners for Ornamental portfolio
• Build and maintain relationships with key influencers and channel partners

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Biotechnology or Science related
• Good agronomy knowledge & experience in agriculture or ornamental flowers
• English communication skills, reading and understanding documents in English.
• Willingness to learn and flexible adapt to new challenges.
• Good channel management skills
• Strong sales negotiation and influencing skills
• Thorough understanding of the technical characteristics and use of control products
• Event organization – seminar, field demonstration etc.
