  •  In a small team, you ensure the recruitment and employee support of our apprentices and Graduates/Post Docs
  • You provide overall general administration to the Apprenticeship & Trainee Program and Syngenta Young Talents
  • Organization of events / career fairs and act as point of contact for stakeholders
  • Deputize for the Young Professionals Lead

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for all administrative processes for the Young Professionals team such as our ticketing system, employment contract preparation, letters, formalities for joiners/leavers, permit handling, expenses and invoice management, marketing activities, handling of career fair preparations and giveaways
  • Support and coordination of the whole recruitment process for apprentices (e.g., conduct interviews, write emails/letters, coordination of “Schnuppertage” etc.)
  • Overview and handling of time management of all apprentices in our time management system
  • Organization and coordination of various career fairs and events (e.g., onboarding week for apprentices)
  • Point of contact for fix-term Syngenta employees and our internship guideline and point of contact for HR matters (hiring planning meetings, offers, contract extension, work permits, exit procedure)
  • In charge of vocational training of commercial apprentices within the Young Professional service
  • In collaboration with the on-the-job trainers, provide support and mentoring for biology lab technician and logistics apprentices in all relevant personal and educational aspects, including midterm review discussions
  • Deputize for the Lead of Young Professionals
  • Support and coordinate smaller projects (e.g., Employer Branding, review of policies or other documents/templates etc.)

Qualifications

  • Commercial education with Personalfachfrau/-mann certification or University degree (BSc) or relevant working experience in HR for 2 to 4 years
  • Broad knowledge of the Swiss educational system
  • Ideally, proven experience in the Swiss vocational system
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills in German and English, French a plus
  • Understanding of Swiss German required
  • Self-reliant working style
  • Acts as a role model and with high customer focus
  • Engaging, ability to deal effectively with young professionals
  • Ability to cope with confidential information
  • Experience with Social Media marketing
  • Assertive when required, able to maintain a clear focus and take the lead when dealing with complex client needs
  • Flexible and resilient
  • Supports development of others
