Role purpose

  • Provide advice and support regarding distribution and promotion of Syngenta Vegetables Seeds of all assigned existing customer portfolios and prospective accounts in Zimbabwe.
  • Accelerate product introduction, promotion and demand creation for both new and existing VEG SE varieties to boost the sales
  • Organize Demo and Development trials for customers and promote the varieties during the customer visits
  •  Support the work of the Marketing & Sales TSR, Promoters and CU teams by providing them with enough technical information on the product behavior and performance to help them in the product positioning and sales.

Accountabilities 

  • Provide advice and support with regard to distribution and promotion of Syngenta Vegetables Seeds of all assigned existing customer portfolios and prospective accounts like Young Plant Raisers.
  • Advise, instruct and train identified key Agro distributors, support Syngenta Agro AG in orders collection, delivery coordination and receivables collection
  • Share demand plan/forecast with Operations team on a monthly basis.
  • Provide sales training to Agro dealers, Stockists and Agents
  • Ensure all customers are handled and serviced within accepted Syngenta policy and standards with the use of Salesforce.com
  • Provide timely monthly sales report to Africa South Vegs Operations manager and join monthly S&OP meetings
  • Any other duties as may be required.

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Critical knowledge

  • BSC degree in Agriculture

Critical experience

  • 3 years plus experience in sales (experience in Agro industry will be an added bonus)

  • Strong Communication, Interpersonal & Influencing Skills
  • Concern for standards

Additional information:
