Job description

Role Purpose

  • Develop & execute a AMEA distribution strategy, current sales year, through logistics, distribution and returns. Develop and excecute measures to meet business plans, customer service, levels Supports Syngentas’ AMEA business strategies through collaborative work with operations teams and commercial sales teams.

Accountabilities

  • Develop Syngenta AMEA specific segmented supply strategies, managed via BPR/S&OPs &  dashboard performance metrics & methods
  • Accountable for  the development of AMEA organizationally aligned goals and metrics for measuring effectiveness.
  • Measure accuracy levels per each stage of the Logistics functional processes to drive Business Improvements projects per need for higher accuracy and/or quality preservation
  • Develop Crop Year ”N”  Delivery Plan according to the SPP demand plan to achieve the balance between inventory management goals and on-time delivery at described cost. 
  • Collaborate regionally to ensure Governance and Harmonization initiatives and P&S Excellence programs are implemented, aligning to the Syngenta Group and Field Crops strategies. Support the supply chain excellence lead by aligning AMEA practices across regions and standardization & optimization of buisness processes
  • Acocuntable for managing logistics and warehousing in the region. Collaboration with Crop Protection logistis team in countries with shared functional responsibilties
  • Manage Supply chain and planning processes for Russia in collaboration with our JV partners as we continue working through the LTO challenges
  • Ensures effective collaboration with AMEA Planning group for N+1 processes.
  • Ensures effectivie collaborations with sales & marketing for critical Year N sales/utilization data, appropriate metrics & measurements, data flows and accountability.
  • Ensure inventory status (both field and physical) is categorized and visible for usage in Production scheduling, allocations, providing information on N+1 usable versus reserve with required frequencies
  • Product release criterion/market specs are aligned with Sales & Marketing
  • Order fulfillment levels and distribution costs meet regional goals (apply DRP modeling at acreage placement step, rough cut schedules and capacity questions)
  • Establish planning time fence periods for production operations, unique by crop
  • Ensure AMEA staff performs, continous improvement efforts for on going sustainable improvement in business process.
  • Evaluate process and system gaps and align with Syngenta strategic Intents

Qualifications

Critical Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required.  Master’s/MBA preferred.
  • Experience in Supply Chain operations, warehousing, direct procurement, logistics, demand planning, supply chain principles, order fulfillment and production scheduling, Control Tower/S&OP Concepts and application, Supply Chain APIC’s Best practices
  • Agronomic and/or technical seed production system knowledge
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and knowledge of process and systems required to meet a defined result
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven track record of leading, developing and engaging teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly strong with cross-group collaboration
  • Customer centric attitude
  • Strategic mindset, able to develop and implement new ways of working and performance improvement measures
  • Lean/Six Sigma/OpEx experience and /or Productivity continuous improvement mindset
  • Experienced at driving change and building new culture and teams
  • Ability to challenge, keeping at the same time, a collaborative approach across all functions
  • Experience or knowledge of multiple IT systems: Examples: SAP systems and supporting modules, Microsoft Excel and Access and other programming,  Linkages to Anaplan, IBP and PYE, and/or development of new systems to meet data requirements as one source of truth.
  • Leadership of cross-functional teams where success is interdependent upon collaboration and leading through influence and performing as “one syngenta”
