Accountabilities

  • Working with global partners, collate and disseminate marketplace intelligence to help identify & address future capacity or capability drivers to ensure a value driven Product Safety supply base.

  • Partner with procurement to develop and sustain relationships with regional contract research organizations

  • Conduct annual reviews with regional CROs

  • Monitor regional workslates across CROs and review study delivery and prioritization if needed due to business priorities

  • Identify and monitor key risks and/or gaps in external supply base for Product Safety

  • Act as a commercial interface between Syngenta and external contract research organizations to enable effective relationship management and change management practices

  • Ensure excellence in all regional outsourcing processes (supplier selection, work placement, partner performance)

  • Interface with regional and global procurement to implement a supplier strategy for work placement

  • Partner and align with Product Safety Work Placement Managers to align on global and regional workslates for awareness and alignment of priorities

  • Partner with Science Delivery functions to prepare study request forms, understand requirements / timelines for completion

  • Partner with NA procurement to deliver regional studies and coordinate proposal review with technical functions for awarding work

  • Create Work Placement Requests to initiate contracting processes

  • Provide outlook to Portfolio and Science Delivery functions for CRO capacity and annual spend

  • Analyze and understand historical and current science suppliers utilized to deliver studies across Product Safety.  Develop a regional CRO strategy to maintain and develop suppliers to meet PS demand

  • Review dashboards to identify work that needs to be placed and interface with portfolio and science delivery to confirm placement


Qualifications

Critical Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of outsourcing strategies and stakeholder management

  • Highly competent in MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Project as well as SharePoint

Critical Experience:

  • Experience working with, or at, contract research organizations is highly desired

  • Experience in developing, tracking and reporting project metrics and KPIs

  • Experience in product development preferred

Critical Technical, Professional and Personal Capabilities:

  • BA/BS or higher degree in Business Administration or Scientific discipline

  • Highly collaborative across functional and geographic boundaries with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • High level of integrity and motivation

  • Must be proactive, responsive and detail oriented

  • Must be able to handle simultaneous assignments with success and accuracy
