Job description

Job Summary:

Assistant Product Manager – Insecticides at Syngenta Pakistan is responsible for leading the commercial strategy and marketing execution of key insecticide brands. This includes life cycle management, go-to-market planning, stakeholder engagement, and in-depth market insights collection. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Technical, and Global Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Brand & Portfolio Management

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of key insecticide brands.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with global direction and local needs.
  • Create brand positioning, communication campaigns, and value propositions for target crops and pests.
  • Analyze product performance, grower behavior, competitor movements, and market dynamics to shape strategy.

2. New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Lead launch planning and execution of new insecticide products.
  • Develop NPI campaigns including value communication, demo planning, and training tools.
  • Coordinate cross-functional readiness – regulatory approval, supply planning, training, and launch events.
  • Execute high-impact launch events and monitor market traction through KPIs.

3. Market Intelligence & Customer Insights

  • Conduct extensive field visits across various territories to meet farmers, retailers, and sales teams.
  • Capture ground-level insights on pest pressure, farmer preferences, product usage, and unmet needs.
  • Benchmark against competitive products and design campaigns to address market gaps.

4. Campaign & Communication Development

  • Design and execute integrated campaigns including ATL (TV, Radio), BTL (Events, Activations), and Digital.
  • Lead the development of creative concepts and media materials including TVCs, videos, and grower stories.
  • Roll out engaging content through social media, trade channels, and farmer touchpoints.

5. Sales Enablement & Training

  • Prepare product training decks, sales kits, and question-handling tools for field teams.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to drive product awareness, field adoption, and promotional efforts.
  • Facilitate sales pitch competitions, workshops, and capability-building initiatives.

6. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with global and regional marketing teams to localize best practices.
  • Manage collaboration with external agencies, production houses, and digital marketing teams.
  • Engage with regulatory, supply chain, and technical colleagues for cross-functional alignment.

 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Marketing, Business or related fields
  • 5–7 years of experience in Product Management, Marketing, or Agri-inputs Industry
  • Strong knowledge of crop protection products, insect/pests, and grower behavior
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and campaign development skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and execute under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office, presentation tools, and basic data analytics
