To support this opportunity, Syngenta’s Commercial team is currently seeking a Marketing Communications Lead in Greensboro, NC.

In this pivotal role, you will apply your significant experience and skills in marketing and communications as well as creativity and strategic acumen to impact the customer experience with Syngenta and our products.

Duties:

  • Oversee the development and delivery of integrated marketing communication plans that contribute to achieving the commercial objectives for the Crop Protection organization.
  • Responsible for working in close partnership with product managers, field sales, agency partners and others to design and execute comprehensive marketing communications plans for key product segments and cross-business strategic initiatives.
  • Support new, innovative product brands and initiatives across markets as diverse as tree nuts in California, corn in Iowa and peanuts in Georgia.
  • Responsible for conceiving, executing and measuring complex, omni-channel marketing campaigns for multiple segments and company initiatives.
  • Serve as a critical partner for product marketing team, developing a deep understanding of portfolio and product objectives, brand value propositions and target customers in order to translate those into effective annual marketing communications plans.
  • Manage the work of third-party partners, managing agency teams and budgets to ensure the delivery of timely and cost-effective campaigns that achieve product objectives.
  • Employ diverse sources of data and customer research/insight to ensure marketing campaigns deliver the right message at the right time to targeted audiences.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, Agriculture and/or related degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of communications or marketing experience, with demonstrated expertise in creating, positioning and launching brands in close collaboration with external agencies and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to deliver creative, customer-focused, omni-channel marketing communications plans that impact sales and grow market share.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship from Syngenta.

Preferred:

  • Fluent in the application of traditional (print, radio, television, etc.) and as well as digital (social media/digital marketing) communication vehicles and understanding of how each can help to influence the customer.
  • Experience working in close partnership with product managers to understand their business goals and applying that knowledge to setting clear strategic direction for agency partners.
  • Excellent ability to communicate across the organization to advocate for the value of marketing communications and influence and motivate diverse stakeholders to achieve goals.
  • Understanding of regulated industries and the importance of ensuring communications are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ability to interpret market research and other sources of customer and market data and apply those insights to improve marketing campaigns.
  • Experience developing and applying a content plan to guide marketing and communications.
  • Understanding of US agriculture and/or adjacent industries is desirable but not required.
