  • To support the Active Ingredient (AI) manufacture of our products. Working in a safe and efficient manner, as part of the manufacturing team, you will operate plant and control the process to meet production requirements, HSEQ and cost standards.
  • To undertake activities in compliance with site, company and regulatory requirements, e.g. SI’s, HSE policy and standards, COMAH (Health and Safety Executive) and PPC (SEPA) etc.
  • To work safely to meet and improve site targets for HSE and to be accountable for all aspects of HSE within an individual’s area of responsibility.
  • To operate computer and manually controlled plant for all stages of manufacture and their associated services. This involves monitoring and controlling multiple processes and operations simultaneously.
  • Completion of batch records in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Control and issue of safety clearance for maintenance.
  • Scheduling and co-ordinating the operation of the plant to meet production targets.
  • Carry out formal and informal monitoring of plant processes and equipment, initiating / carrying out corrective actions to maintain or improve standards.
  • To carry out engineering maintenance works to reduce plant downtime and increase efficiency of operation.
  • To create accurate / thorough logs and give / receive handovers on the process and plant activities / status during shift and at plant handover.
  • Compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • To actively contribute to all aspects of continuous improvement.
  • To develop and then maintain as up to date, the competency and knowledge required for safe and efficient conduct in the role.
  • To be an effective and flexible member of the plant work group contributing towards the achievement of departmental strategy.

Qualifications

  • Internal HSE standards and procedures.
  • Basic chemical knowledge.
  • Typically, three years operational experience running a variety of computer controlled chemical manufacturing assets, preferably coupled with a recognised chemical qualification i.e. NVQ.
