Purpose

  • To deliver professional advice, support and training to management, employees and HSE & Q managers/coordinators / champions to enable all Syngenta functions in Pakistan to effectively implement their HSE & Q responsibilities.
  • To effectively assess and communicate actions to Leadership Teams (LTs), and to effectively communicate and implement HSE & Q strategies.
  • Actively interact with Country M&S and Supply Operations to convert the Voice of the Customer into Business opportunities and drive enhanced customer experience.
  • Assure relevant stakeholder groups regarding the effectiveness of quality risk management and quality management system deployment within Country M&S and Supply operations.

Accountabilities

  • To deliver professional advice, support and training on the operational aspects of Syngenta’s HSEQ strategy and programs within the country
  • To implement Syngenta’s HSEQ Management System into Pakistan’s business functions and provide advice and support to enable them to meet Syngenta’s HSEQ requirements.
  • To monitor, analyze and report HSEQ performance each month to the Country LT (CLT) and to APAC’s Regional HSEQ Head and Quality Lead.
  • To support the business functions in the identification and assessment of HSE & Q risks and in the delivery of appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • To support the development of HSE managers/coordinators/champions.
  • To deliver advice and support to ensure local incident investigations identify true root causes, contain sufficient detail and quality to enable timely validation when first submitted.
  • To conduct assessments, audits and reviews at Syngenta sites and at 3rd Parties according to the agreed audit plans.
  • To identify and signal to the APAC’s Regional HSEQ Head and Quality Lead where specialist HSE or Quality support is required.
  • As a functional member of the APAC HSE/Q Leadership Teams, effectively network across this group while having the ability and experience necessary to work independently and remotely.
  • Lead the Drive for Life (DFL) program in HSE across all functions.
  • Ensure decisions taken are aligned and relevant Quality information is escalated accordingly.
  • Support the Country Leadership Team in establishing and coordinating Quality Steering teams and management review.
  • Facilitate the resolution of major channel inventory and quality issues.
  • Ensure effective management of Customer complaints and nonconformities handling process including data analytics for the country to drive improved customer experience
  • Participate actively in country M&S and Supply Operations activities relevant to Quality Management such as but not limited to New product launches, stage planning, S&OP etc.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of operational experience in Syngenta or within a related industry OR experience in HSE and Quality management.
  • Experience in self-learning and then delivering information, instruction, and training to a wide range of audiences from shop floor to country management teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects.
  • Degree in Science, Engineering or related technical subject.
  • Operational knowledge of the Syngenta HSE and Quality Management System and a working knowledge of existing and developing relevant HSE legislation.
  • Appropriate national/international qualification in HSE/Q management (e.g. I-NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45001/ ISO 14001/ISO 9001 Auditor) or a specialist HSE discipline.
  • Project and change management skills and experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Concern for standards and ability to defend a position in the event of challenge.
  • Fluency in written and oral English.
  • Competent and capable of training others in standard HSE & Quality processes: incident investigation, risk assessment, identifying and developing appropriate mitigations, auditing, etc.
