Lab Documentation & Operations Specialist

To support this mission, we are currently seeking a Documentation & Operations Specialist in Greensboro, NC to join the Analytical Development and Product Chemistry team.

You will manage documents for easy tracking and accessibility based upon GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) guidelines as required by federal regulation of the EPA. You will work closely with chemists to document lab reports for analysis and facility records.

Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure various regulatory documents are archived physically and electronically in accordance with EPA recordkeeping regulations and Departmental processes.
• Perform GLP documentation activities e.g. updating CVs, SOPs and keeping up with facility records in a timely manner.
• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of all equipment and documentation requirements of facility records.
• Formatting, scanning, archiving, and distributing all department documents (protocols, COAs, amendments, final reports, regulatory documents, etc.).
• Primary point of contact for all department template issues and document-related issues (SmartDoc Link, SmartSheet, and LIMS).
• Bring regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of management.
• Interact with Analytical and Product Chemistry groups to understand their needs, ensure delivery meets expectations, garner support for team initiatives, deliver training on new systems and processes, and seek feedback for process improvements.

Required:

• 1+ year of work experience with computer applications and handling electronic document management systems in a GMP/GLP/ISO regulated environment.
• Previous employment in a scientific position related to chemistry, biology, biotechnology, analytical laboratory, or QA auditor.
• Associate degree, preferably in a scientific and/or computer science field OR 2 years of additional related experience
• Proficiency in using MS Office products, Adobe Acrobat, in use of publishing and data transfer software systems/techniques
• Strong skills in documentation, organization, prioritization, interpersonal communication, thoroughness, and attention to detail.

Preferred:

• Understanding of U.S. EPA and global regulations, including Good Laboratory Practices, document guidelines
• Proficiency in SmartSheet
