External Communications & Employer Branding Lead

Job description

Role Purpose

Partner with leadership and HR teams to develop and execute strategic external communications and employer branding initiatives for the Syngenta Global Capability Center in Pune (Pune Center). This role will drive compelling campaigns that enhance our employer brand visibility, position the Pune Center as a premier GCC and employer of choice, and attract top talent in the region. The role will manage executive communications, media coverage opportunities and social media strategies to tell our story and drive positive coverage of the Pune Center's initiatives and impact.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and lead external communications programs aligned with the Pune Center's strategic objectives
  • Design and implement employer branding strategies to attract top talent and position the Pune Center as an Employer of choice
  • Coordinate and execute the Pune Center's external communications plan and content calendar
  • Create compelling content and campaigns for multiple platforms including websites, blogs, social media, newsletters, storyboards, and video
  • Design, develop, and execute social media campaigns across major platforms (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn)
  • Establish strong working relationships with Global Communications Leads to ensure successful local implementation of global communications strategies
  • Monitor and review employee-generated social media content related to the organization to ensure alignment with corporate brand guidelines and communication standards
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure key initiatives, projects, and stories are effectively communicated externally

Qualifications

Experience and Knowledge Required

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in communications or related discipline
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in building and executing branding strategies that drive measurable results.
  • Proven track record of managing external communications and employer branding in a multinational environment. Global Capability Center (GCC) market experience and business understanding (preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of communications best practices, including social media and external communications planning and implementation
  • Exceptional content writing skills for diverse communication channels (intranet, newsletters, social media, video scripts)
  • Strong understanding and passion for social media with proficiency across major platforms
  • Ability to interpret social media metrics, results, and trends, and take action to optimize campaign effectiveness
  • Good knowledge of graphic design software and basic video editing tools
