Job description

  • Plan, lead and execute annual campaigns differentiated by customer/ crop/ product group, working closely with customer services and sales on implementation
  • Support the commercial policy design and terms related to the grower programs together with Sales teams and Crop Protection team leads
  • Ensure LTO/Stewardship/product sustainability is an integral part of product positioning and is embedded in campaign plans
  • Lead internal meetings, trainings and seminars to ensure clear objectives communication and knowledge transfer
  • Owns the post seasonal campaign reviews process to capture key learnings and improvements plans
  • Support 5-year strategic marketing plans and annual budgets aligned with Commercial Unit Crop Protection Lead to deliver profitable growth, measured by sales, POG and MS metrics
  • Own and support business planning processes using internal tools
  • Asses market opportunities vs portfolio performance by identifying gaps to be filled; Build business cases for new product and/or solution ideas
  • Develops & delivers competitor analyses together with Pricing and Business Analyst
  • Be accountable for the quality and integrity of the product information on the label
  • Ensure effective positioning of products down to subsegments markets based on trials results; Influence and shape the opinions of all key external stakeholders
  • Liaise with sales force, growers, CPD and external partners to find the most effective & efficient way to implement the targeted technical trials
  • Align with Europe CPD/ Agronomy team on proposed Adaptation trials & protocols to build the story for our NPI’s and targeted crop solutions
  • Analyze data from the trials conducted via 3rd party partners in relation to trial targets and share results & insights within CU; Follows-up and consolidate the results
  • Actively contribute to the “Technical Launch Teams”
    • Identify potential solutions to address grower needs
    • Support new product launches via participation in trials and trainings
    • Ensure that “Technical Launch Plans” are adjusted to fit local CU needs.
  • Act as key technical link to the critical influencers, channel partners and other stakeholder to optimally position Syngenta for success within the assigned crop market

Qualifications

  • Min 3 years of experience in marketing, sales or technical in horticulture / agro business
  • Knowledge and min 2 years of experience in product management
  • Experience in the application of crop agronomics and technologies and their contribution to the financial drivers of a grower’s business
  • Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture
  • Budgeting
  • Understanding of key stages and principles of product life cycle
  • Analytical and project management skills
  • Marketing Planning & Forecasting
  • Customer insight & engagement strategy
  • Campaign management
  • Customer segmentation
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English
  • Communication & presentation skills
