Role Purpose

  • To drive Syngenta business putting together a marketing plan that targets integrated crop markets and creates programs that address growers’ needs.
  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns for the assigned crops, designed to achieve the growth and revenue goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design detailed campaigns for the assigned crop protection products in order to achieve sales business targets and to launch and position new brands/products including high level professional content defined together with CP and Seeds marketing and sales teams.
  • Provide market and grower segmentation & competitive analysis from multiple sources of data (internal and external). Propose Market Research for deeper market understanding.
  • Prepare market & sales forecast using specific tools.
  • Suggest local campaign priorities in order to best implement & deliver our crop protection strategies.
  • Understand the customer/market needs and ensure they are communicated to the sales and technical teams accordingly.
  • Lead cross-functional Campaign Teams (together with Marketing, Technical and Sales) in order to design & execute customer-oriented campaigns.
  • Liaison with marketing services team and external agencies in relation to content generation and execution of the campaigns.
  • Translate offers to customer (channel or grower) needs and detail including delivery plan, pricing and commercial policies.
  • Leads proper planning & execution for successful NPI’s preparation: brand value messaging, value & transactional pricing, competitive and technical positioning; Design and implement ready –to- launch brand plans.
  • Ensure campaigns are executed in line with budget and plan set by the campaign team.
  • Create and maintain marketing reports that track and measure the success of marketing initiatives and perform post campaign in-field measurement of campaign effectiveness.
  • Monitor the local marketing insights and support the Syngenta’s/Business area’s Crop protection marketing plan in short and long term.          
  • Manages the CP content section of the country web site building and executing a clear content plan. Maintains interaction with growers through social media.
  • Provide product knowledge to sales with technical support and actively participate in seminars, events, field tours etc.
  • Responsible for knowledge management – plan and conduct product and marketing trainings.

Qualifications

  • Min 3 years of experience in sales or marketing in agro business
  • Knowledge and min 2 years of experience in product management
  • Experience in the application of crop agronomics and technologies and their contribution to the financial drivers of a grower’s business
  • Degree in Agriculture is a plus
  • Deep knowledge of brand management and marketing
  • Budgeting, marketing planning and forecasting
  • Technical products knowledge
  • Understanding of agricultural market, grower needs and trends
  • Understanding of key stages and principles of product life cycle
  • Analytical and project management skills
  • Proficient in English
