Payroll Business Analyst – Project (Fixed-term contract until February 2027)

You will be part of the HR operations team and will support the area.

Purpose of the role: The Business Analyst translates payroll business requirements into technical solutions, working with various teams to implement payroll-related needs and support project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document payroll-specific business requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
  • Define acceptance criteria for payroll calculations, deductions, and reporting.
  • Develop test strategies and scripts for payroll processing scenarios.
  • Coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for payroll functions.
  • Manage defects related to payroll calculations, and in line with defined reporting.
  • Validate payroll software solutions against compliance requirements and business needs.
  • Act as the primary contact for payroll-related requirements queries throughout the project.
  • Communicate progress on payroll system implementation and configuration.
  • Facilitate workshops with HR, Finance, and IT teams on payroll process improvements.
  • Support training for payroll staff on new system features and processes

It is indispensable for this position:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Finance, or equivalent practical experience
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, SHRM-CP, IIBA-CBAP, Agile certifications)
  • Proven experience in payroll systems analysis and implementation.
  • Proficiency in modern payroll and HR systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors), data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), familiarity with API integrations and cloud-based systems
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in full-cycle payroll system implementation projects
