We are seeking a motivated and skilled Global Computational Agronomy Solutions Manager to join our Computational Agronomy department. This individual will hold a leadership position, collaborating with internal and external partners to align business strategies and ensure proper execution of duties. They will also be responsible for driving the utilization of computational agronomies and managing talent within the department.

As Computational Agronomy Solutions Manager your main responsabilities will be:

  • Leadership: Contribute to the department's vision, capabilities, and infrastructure through quarterly and annual roadmaps.
  • Strategy: Collaborate with regional teams and product development groups to gather product concepts and requirements for agronomic models and solutions
  • People Management: Define roles, recruit talent, and develop team members, providing mentorship and fostering professional growth.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Seeds R&D, Crop Protection R&D, and external partners, to create applications.
  • Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of marketplace dynamics and conduct exploratory research to inform business strategies.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in computational and statistical methods and a similarly strong background.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English
  • Proactive, highly motivated individual with solid organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collect and communicate challenging and complex analytical problems in a clear, precise, and actionable manner.
  • Experience working with or within large agricultural organizations.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with some of the following Knowledge, Experience, & Skills: Field trialing, farming experience or grower advisory, field agronomy supporting sales, crop simulation models, machine learning techniques.
