Role Purpose:

As part of our Leading Global Seedcare Business and Seedcare Institute Services division we are looking for a new talent to bring next level of application services to our customers. You will lead Application and equipment technology expertise by working across our network of institutes and selected external partners to deliver fit for purpose solutions to our customers.

  • Provide end to end commercial application solutions by collaborating with selected suppliers or service providers and internal seedcare experts – (e.g. seed treating and processing equipment or engineering supplier’s).
  • Build and develop SCI customer services and practical solutions in seed technologies such as seed cleaning, sorting, pelleting, or drying and extend reach via precision application solutions such as digital agriculture platform. 
  • Drive OPEX service offer for commercial operation efficiency improvement in either up or downstream segments.
  • Provide expert consulting for methodology and protocols to assess seed treatment equipment technologies and animate SCI expert network via regular development sessions (quarterly regional meetings, webinars with partners…).
  • Work with Global Service Lead to innovate in application services portfolio co-developed with customers and SCI’s network such as digitalizing the customer experience (eg. treater experience digital interfaces and operation monitoring).

Accountabilities:

  • Develop scalable application solutions focused on downstream commercial users by working with 3rd party service providers or equipment suppliers and SCI expert network (eg. product application delivery kits)
  • Support acceleration and scale up in new business models in GTM evolution to downstream needs with optimal equipment solutions (assess ROI for customers and SYT Seedcare)
  • Champion for equipment and engineering solutions continuous improvements on HSE and safety based on Syngenta standards and customers’ needs along with local regulation evolution.
  • Bridge to Recipe, Quality analytics and Stewardship service teams and SCI network for NPI’s or biological solutions testing’s implementation.
  • Develop specific expertise in seed processing services such as seed pelleting, encrusting or similar processes requiring specific equipment and capabilities in areas such as seed cleaning, grading and drying equipment technologies.
  • Support selected Seedcare projects in the regions to scale up processing capabilities and capacities at customer locations involving specific seed process beyond seed treating – consider focus on process efficiency beyond product offers (eg. OPEX).    

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years in a commercial or customer technical support role experience in an agricultural commercial unit is key to deliver in that position.
  • Minimum MS degree in an appropriate discipline such as Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Mechanical or Agricultural equipment Engineering, Applied Biology or other Agricultural discipline.
  • Technical ability to design and conduct seed and seed treatment process and technology assessment as well as project management skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills for interactions with customers/growers, 3rd party companies and internal stakeholders particularly commercial teams.
  • Aptitude for fit for market technology scouting and ease at connecting technical, marketing, commercial and customers’ needs and interests to deliver optimal solution.
  • Familiarity with the business scope (technology, growers, processes...).
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities for leading technology assessments and 3rd party collaboration by influencing at scale.
  • Basic knowledge of seed treatment products benefits (chemical, biological or physical treatments).
  • Fluent English.
  • Travelling up to 20%.
