Assistant Manager Logistics

The AM Manager Logistics (Imports) will lead and manage the Logistics activity – Import/Export and assist with the preparation of import and export documents in compliance with customs and government regulations.

• Manage the E2E import process for Crop Protection and Seeds
• Coordinate with Hub team/vendors for timely availability import shipping documentation.
• Coordinate with finance department for LC/ bank contract opening.
• Follow up with suppliers/hub team for timely arrangement of consignment.
• Review and validation of shipping documents.
• Maintains a database of import & export shipments.
• Close monitoring and tracking of import/export consignments.
• Tracking of original shipping documents, making sure that broker should get original documents before the consignment arrival to port/Airport.
• Share complete shipping documents with customs broker for import/export clearance.
• Preparing Insurance memo of each consignment and sharing it with broker.
• Process pay orders for customs duties & taxes and other import related payments and follow-up with finance department for timely availability of pay orders.
• Coordination with transporters and internal warehouse team for consignment deliveries and timely containers offloading.
• Regular follow up with customs brokers for timely clearance and delivery of consignments to plant.
• Work with finance team to resolve all bank related discrepancies and issues.
• Filing and archiving of all the import/export documents
• Report problems and irregularities in import- export activities.
• Process customs agents bills and ensure their timely payments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Relevant Degree from a reputed university, preferably in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related areas.
• 1-2 years of relevant working experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Customs and import- export, shipping regulations and policies.
• Computer skills MS Office, SAP, ARIBA.
• Certification in clearing, forwarding & IATA dangerous goods will be an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
