We have an exciting opportunity Vendor Scheduler to work in our Grangemouth Manufacturing Centre as a key part of our Production Support team. You will support supply chain and production by vendor scheduling a portfolio of raw materials with a focus on cost, flexible responsiveness, safety stocks and inventory in order to support AI production schedules. You will also be responsible for the task co-ordination of the AI Production Support Officers.

Key Accountabilities will include;

  • Working closely with the Procurement Manager and AI supply chain planner to generate valid and accurate vendor schedules
  • Obtaining delivery commitment from suppliers to support the schedules to enable them to plan their production in line with Syngenta’s requirements.
  • To identify future supply constraints before they become problematic, and work with stakeholders to develop options for the resolution, minimising Production outage.
  • Raise supplier complaints as necessary ensuring corrective actions are implemented by the suppliers to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Maintain Vendor OTIF and review on a monthly basis, escalating performance issues to the relevant Procurement Manager and Supply chain if necessary.
  • Participate in supplier review meetings as required.
  • Optimise stock levels at various locations to achieve targets set by the Supply Chain Planners and Purchasers.
  • Task coordination of the AI Production Support Officers on a daily basis, providing training, direction, focus and support on the resolution of issues.
  • Record and update business and associated systems timely to give accurate visibility of purchases, plans, customer promises and financials.

Qualifications

Requisite Experience, Skills and Behaviours:

  • Knowledge/experience in a Supply Chain, Logistics and/or manufacturing environment
  • Strong IT skills, particularly on MS Excel
  • Very proactive, with an ability to identify potential blockers/issues and work with relevant stakeholders to prevent/rectify issues
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • SAP knowledge/experience would be an advantage
  • Degree or equivalent in logistics, business or supply chain processes would be an advantage
