Job description

Role purpose

Ensure effective and efficient supply planning activities for Syngenta Seeds; manage through supervision, control and optimization of the logistics operations.

Accountabilities

  • Act as a key point between the regional and local teams regarding all the demand activities, ensure resolutions are found for all the challenges, in due time;
  • Management of the local demand, ensure accurate reflection into planning systems;
  • Provide visibility to commercial team on seeds allocation, supply plan, challenges and solutions to overcome these challenges;   
  • Follow up daily the execution of supply plan, communicate availability information to the commercial team on volumes and timing;
  • Proactively identify and communicate future supply constraints, allocation, T&P campaign phasing and suggest solutions in order to meet market expectations;
  • Maintain updated the master data, collaborate with marketing on the SKU catalog’s update;
  • Follow up on KPI’s for sales forecasting and demand planning and initiate corrective actions;
  • Place and follow up intercompany purchase orders both for commercial and demo seeds;
  • Stock management through redeployments, returns in line with company policy;
  • Constantly seek forecasting process improvement, contribute to the local / regional continuous improvement projects;
  • Manage the management of the quality issues: registration in the systems, resolutions follow up with relevant departments;
  • Ensure timely and accurate customs clearance of goods and complaint management;
  • Prepare various reports in line with legal requirements (Intrastat, Waste management reports, reports to Ministry of Agriculture, reports for Customs, reports to Bureau of Statistics), and company requirements;
  • Closely monitor allocated local resources, FuCo Budget (variable distribution), report any deviations from initial plan without delay, work out on corrections;
  • Ensure the daily operations between the internal stakeholders and the logistics providers;
  • Cost control of the services / invoices received from the service providers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Knowledge of supply chain and sales operation drivers and logics
  • Knowledge of Planning Cycles, Sales Cycles, Production, Processes
  • SAP and Microsoft office skills at the proficiency level
  • Reporting capabilities
  • Proven ability to deliver promises under tight time lines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Result oriented and customer focused
  • Analytical and commercially well developed
  • Proficient time management skills
  • Quality conscious and service minded
  • Able to cope with pressure and conflicting demands
  • Problem solving ability / decision making ability
  • Fluent in English (verbal as well as in writing)
