ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Strategy and development

  • Own the NEA strategy to achieve sales, profitability, and overall business contribution targets
  • Together with Portfolio Team ensure the development of the right products and their launch
  • Drive constant review of the go-to-market strategies in the countries to deliver business efficiently
  • Actively manage, motivate and develop the commercial team of  Sales area managers, Marketing operations and customer service to develop a high performing team
  • Represent the company and build relations with key customers, industry associations, national authorities that have major influence on Syngenta business and our license to operate
  • Be an active member of the Territory Leadership Team
  • Ensure Syngenta's full compliance with the applicable legal and regulatory framework as well as Syngenta's own legal and ethical, HSE, Corporate Security, Risk Management and Corporate Governance standards
  • Engage with other Syngenta businesses in the countries to ensure effective collaboration with a focus on overlapping strategies and managing shared resources

 

 

Operations

  • Review and sign off the monthly sales forecast for NEA.
  • Monitors business performance and take corrective actions
  • Propose the NEA budget based on crop and product priorities with the objective to maximize return on investment. Once approved, ensure its focused and impactful deployment.
  • Settle quality and complaints.
  • Customer satisfaction accountability: sign-off quality derogations, approve customer compensations.
  • Set target pricing and oversee the commercial terms and policies
  • Manage customers payments
  • Interact pro-actively  and align with broader, cross-functional organization (R&D, P&S and CP&FC)

Qualifications

 

Critical experience and knowledge

  • Agricultural and/or business university degree
  • 5+ years in marketing /sales and business management with direct people management
  • 5+ years of Vegetables Seeds or other seeds business experience
  • Solid knowledge of the Vegetables Seeds market and customer needs particularly in Egypt, Iran, and Saudi.
  • Track record of successful team & processes and customer management
  • Excellent Arabic and good English language proficiency
  • Strong business accumen

  • Knowledge of Government regulations and Industry codes to ensure compliance, training needs and that appropriate processes and standards are in place in alignment to the broader business.

 


Additional Information

Travelling 40-50% (countries in NEA for customers visit and Europe for company regional meetings and fair/exhibitions events)
