This role sits within the Toll/3rd Party Manufacturing team within the new Global Operations Centre in Manchester. Across the region, Syngenta works with many 3rd party manufacturers across 20 manufacturing sites. The role reports to the Toll Manufacturing Group Lead and interfaces closely with the Toll Manufacturing Scheduling team. The Toll Production Manager (TPM) leads 3rd Party manufacturing across the EAME region with a particular focus on compliance, quality and production. This is a diverse role within the scope of 3rd party manufacturing (tolling), and the main purpose of this role is to always keep the Syngenta supply risk to a minimum. The TPM is a key representative of Syngenta and an intermediary with 3rd Party Manufacturers. The successful candidate will ensure full compliance of tollers with Syngenta's HSES and quality requirements and with regulatory, contractual, and financial frameworks. He/she will maintain a tolling supply base delivering production flexibility and reliability at a competitive total cost and will coordinate and consult the different Syngenta functions on tolling and toller related topics, acting as a single key point of contact at a managerial level. He she will support the regional and global manufacturing strategy, business priorities and budget targets.

You will be accountable for:

• Ensuring Syngenta HSES and quality policies, Crop Life and good stewardship are understood and adopted by the toller, enforcing appropriate management processes of the toller

• Addressing any significant operational issues that arise with the toller appropriately

• Supporting HSES and quality audits and drive timely response on findings and action plans

• Investigation of complaints and ensuring resolution through the appropriate interfaces

• Measuring toller performance and driving continuous improvement where appropriate

• Leading/participating in selected projects, including product introductions, issue resolution


Qualifications

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

• Proven professional experience in a supply chain, procurement, or technical role

• Working experience in a manufacturing environment

• Basic understanding of formulation, fill & pack technology, and processes

• Good grasp of 3rd party relationship management

• Good knowledge of HSE, Quality and Regulatory compliance frameworks

• Strong stakeholder management

• Self-starter/autonomous

• Results oriented

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

• Experience of the Chemicals industry

• Additional European language

There will be up to 50% travel in peak season.
