Job description

Purpose:

The role is focused on the coordination and the establishment of the sales forecast and demand plan for Seeds on short term & mid-term and leading Field Crops Seeds Demand Planning and replenishment process of Bulgaria and North Macedonia aiming outstanding customer experience with efficient, timely, and reliable supply of Syngenta products in accordance with the company standards and processes.

The Seeds Supply Planning and Logistics Lead Bulgaria and North Macedonia role is part of the Seeds Supply Chain function and reports directly to Black Sea Seeds Supply Chain Lead.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for seeds demand planning and forecasting process for Bulgaria and North Macedonia, updating into relevant system tools within the requested timeframes.
  • Coordinate the development of the demand plan with the commercial, marketing team for short and mid-term. 
  • Chairing Bulgaria and North Macedonia Seeds Pre-SOP, coordinate and influence the development of consensus based unconstrained demand plan with Head of Sales and Marketing managers delivering supporting reports and statistics (sales history, slow/no-mover stocks).
  • Issue resolution: balance the demand plan and supply plan (net and return) in alignment with regional supply planning team and communicate availability information to the commercial team on volume and timing efficiently, develop, validate and implement resolution and adjust the demand plan.
  • Provide visibility to other functions (e.g. Customer service, Sales, Marketing) about the products availability status.
  • Place and follow up intercompany/ purchase orders both for commercial and demo seeds based on supply plan with great collaboration with region and customer service.
  • Maintain updated master data, ensure accuracy of planning information in all planning systems (IBP, Webbuss, SAP etc,).
  • Challenge commercial forecast regarding, market, sales history stocks through proper reports and statistics, as well as drawing the attention to the cost/benefit balance not to increase unnecessary complexity.
  • Provide KPI’s for sales forecasting and demand planning and initiate corrective actions.
  • Constantly seek forecasting process improvement. Contribute to the BA/BU Supply Chain continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure forecast uncertainties are properly managed. Together with cross-functional stakeholders ensure proper Seeds Inventory Optimization.
  • Ensure timely and accurate customs clearance of goods, the imports of all products are notified to all relevant authorities and proper documentation is submitted to accounting department.
  • Accurately process goods receipts, including compliance with accounting rules and procedures;
  • Follow product quality complaints, with support of Technical departments, and make sure that appropriate answers are given in time to the commercial team and customer.
  • Liaise strongly with local 3PL providers, monitor their performance against contract, legal and company standards.
  • Ensure the daily operations between the internal stakeholders and the logistics providers.
  • Support the month end inventory reconciliation in the systems and initiate corrective actions when needed.
  • Cost control of the services / invoices received from the service providers.
  • Actively support Customer Service in daily operations.

Qualifications

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Relevant experience on position in Supply and/or Logistics on the local market, preferably in a multinational company.
  • MS Office and ERP experience.
  • Excellent Excel knowledge and experience.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to act under tight timelines.
  • Able to support cross function ways of working and recognize critical interdependencies.
