To enable this, we are looking for a curious, determined, and high-performing individual to join our sales team as a remote Contract Territory Sales Representative to service our Humboldt area.

In this role you will develop a territory plan to achieve sales targets, foster meaningful relationships, and communicate the value of technology.

This is a 14-16 month fixed-term contract.

Accountabilities:

  • Analyze market trends to identify data-driven growth opportunities.
  • Complete product forecasting requirements.
  • Achieve annual sales target for crop protection and seed care.
  • Develop and implement local field marketing plan.
  • Utilize discovery skills to understand retailer and grower needs.
  • Collaborate with retailers to create sales activity plan.
  • Deliver and reconcile programs or segmented offers to retailers.
  • Effectively communicate the value of product portfolio and services.
  • Train and develop retailers to effectively position products to growers.
  • Create awareness of technology (demonstration trials, capture experiences).
  • Provide in-season technical and sales support.

Syngenta Crop Protection keeps plants safe from planting to harvesting. From the moment a seed is planted through to harvest, crops need to be protected from weeds, insects and diseases as well as droughts and floods, heat and cold.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture or science and/or a B.Comm.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the agriculture industry, as well as a thorough understanding of both the commercial and research sides of the business.
  • Understanding of financial analysis and general business issues and practices.
  • Agronomic knowledge of the crops in the area such as wheat, canola, peas, and barley.
  • First-hand knowledge of farming operations and crop production practices.
