Assistant Manager - Supply Planning

Job description

Role Purpose :

  • To lead end to end category supply planning function for supply assurance
  • Drive forecast accuracy & effective management of inventory level
  • To coordinate with the different Syngenta functions on planning and scheduling related topics.
  • Act as single key point of contact to balance the demand & supply.
  • To manage demand-supply gap with data support and smart tools
  • Co-ordination and collaboration among in-country and cross -country stakeholders across value chain systems
  •  To manage the ex-works shipments follow-up and ensure arrival of stocks up to WHs and drive 100% OTIF.
  • To leverage SAP APO/SAP system and stewardship of master data management.

Accountabilities :

  • Ensure overall supply of products to support the business on time
  • Negotiations with Regional Planning team to ensure on time supply of AI/Auxiliaries supply for right commercials terms and as per service level agreement.
  • Actively collaborate with Order Management team to get consignments in time
  • Understand Campaign planning, Production and Transportation Lead Time and maintain targeted inventory level.
  • Active Participation in Monthly S & OP cycle & drive the agenda.
  • Local Formulation- AI/Auxiliaries
    • Preparing import plan based for local formulation plan of AI/Auxiliaries/others.
    • Follow up with 3rd party supplier on time supply.
    • Checking logistics team on time clearing (NOC/documentation).
    • Checking with regional procurement team availability of product as per requirement.

Qualifications

 

  • BSc. Engineering (Mechanical/ Chemical/ Industrial Production)
  • Minimum 6 years professional experience in a Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics.
  • Preferred work experience industry: FMCG, Agrochemical Industry.

Critical Knowledge (Education/ Development expected for Job) :

  • Global Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Material Requirement Planning, Demand Forecasting, S&OP Process.
  • Hands on knowledge in SAP ECC, SAP APO, SAP IBP.
  • Data analysis, visualization and decision making.
  • Understanding of Python, Excel VBA, Machine Learning.
