Job description

Role purpose
• Develop strong relationship with key farmers and influencers in assigned area, optimizing customer reach
• Co-develop campaign plans with Regional Sales Manager and leads the Field Promoters in execution his area in line with over-all crop/product strategy
• Strategically impact the buying decision of farmers and influencers in alignment with (versus turning these into sales) country’s Go-To-Market strategy.
• Provide technical support to growers as needed ensuring product and customer service satisfaction with Syngenta.

Accountabilities
• Conduct analysis of assigned area to define area potential and allocate resources to optimise Syngenta market share and achieve goals
• Feedback market needs in his assigned area providing accurate information/insights for the
development of channel programs
• Partner with Area Sales Manager in preparing accurate consumption targets and achieving these in line with his area budget
• Implement Grower campaigns for assigned sales area in line with Syngenta Integrated Crop Solutions strategy maximizing consumption potential
• Execute programs that allow for Syngenta product and services testing with farmers, according to the direction of commercial management. team
• Ensure HS&E and Compliance policies are implemented within the sales area in line with company policy
• Provides coaching for the development of Field Promoters
• Makes efficient use of resources under his area of responsibility

Qualifications

Critical knowledge
• Bachelor degree (Ag, preferred) or 2- 3 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with the agriculture industry trends and business models
• In depth knowledge of Syngenta’s and competitor’s products and offers
• Understanding of Syngenta’s value proposition and GTM strategy

Critical experience
• Preferably with 1 year working experience in crop protection products or seeds industry.
Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with people from all levels-growers & key influencers
• Presentation Skills
• Analytical and problem solving: Identification of farmer pain points and recommending customized solutions
• Influencing Skills: Influence growers, stakeholders' buying decision and negotiate to putting forward Syngenta's product and services
• Negotiation skills
• Project Management: Efficiently organizing BTL activities and projects, optimizing allocated costs and maximizing returns
• MS Office (Excel,Word, Powerpoint) navigation
• Data Management: Familiarity with data organization for report generation/ analysis
• Expert conduct of product testing and field trials
• Ability to speak the local language/dialect
• Ability to drive
• Ability to manage customer complaints
