Job description

Role Purpose

This role requires technical excellence having good market insight to support commercial & technical development in Pakistan. Develop close liaison with R&D and marketing team to help in planning and launching of NPI. Lead as a technical expert to bring sustainable solutions to meet long term customers’ needs. Identify new technologies to develop integrated solutions to address grower problems.

Territorial Business Accountabilities

  1. Identify portfolio gaps for key field crops and vegetables & provide proposals
  2. Keep close liaison with R&D team to build understanding on new developments of Syngenta
  3. Manage successful pre-launch demonstrations in coordination with sales & commercial teams
  4. Manage pre-launch field days with the help of sale team at successful demonstrations
  5. Keep close contact with R&D colleagues to get technical assistance
  6. Develop & execute plans as per agreement with line manager
  7. Innovate your ideas/thinking to build confidence in commercial teams
  8. Use new technology to bring innovation in sharing your findings with your customers
  9. Keep close eye on competition activities & new developments in agriculture
  10. Develop close contact with Research Institutes/Academia to have firsthand information on new developments in agriculture
  11. Develop close contact with farmers, understand their problems and provide technical & sustainable solutions
  12. Draw a list of key challenges of Pakistan agriculture & consult to find out innovative solutions of their problems
  13. Develop a Learning and Development Center focused on crop programs and confidence building of stakeholders on NPIs.

Critical knowledge

  1. Strong techno-commercial background
  2. Preferably masters in Entomology, Pathology and Agronomy
  3. Updated knowledge on key crops of Pakistan
  4. Information on important insects/pests of these crops
  5. Experience in Farm Management

Critical Experience

  1. Good information of crops/pests/pesticides
  2. Good expertise of application techniques, trial layout, pest identification, data capturing and digital knowhow,
  3. Capability to train people
