To support that challenge, the Metabolism team is currently seeking a Synthetic Chemist Intern in Greensboro, NC. As an intern in our test substance supply group you will investigate and conduct research into new synthetic routes of complex molecules.

Estimated Duration: May 2024 – August 2024 

You will: 

• Investigate and conduct research into new synthetic routes of complex molecules 
• Collaborate closely with chemistry teams within the R&D organization for route scoping and development 
• Develop and expand technical depth, breadth and impact 

What you must have: 

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree program in organic chemistry 
• Experience in analysis of compounds using TLC and analytical instrumentations like GCMS and LCMS 
• Excellent laboratory skills in purification of compounds using different chromatographic methods, recrystallization, and distillation  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) 
• Aptitude with electronic word processing, spreadsheet and presentation systems, as well as comfort in using electronic systems and databases
