State Regulatory Manager

• Effectively obtain and maintain California registrations, acting as lead for new active ingredient submissions and DPR re-evaluations
• Principal contact with California regulatory agencies for product registration issues as required
• Preparation and internal / external stewarding of  product submissions and label submissions
• Represent Syngenta in key industry groups to benefit industry and Syngenta
• Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, trade organizations, and industry task forces to effectively communicate regulatory concerns and objectives.
• Provide support for, and partner with, Syngenta government affairs
• Provide strategic support and advice for  California registration issues to Supply Chain, Federal regulatory, Commercial business units, Customer Service, Marketing, and other departments as necessary
• Active participation on product and formulation launch teams, as needed
• Assist with product life-cycle management in concert with Brand Management
• Promotes culture of compliance within Syngenta as related to state specific laws and activities
• Travel will be up to 20%

The preferred location is at our Greensboro, NC facilities on a hybrid work schedule.   A well qualified person in the Sacramento, CA area will be considered.

Required Experience 

• Minimum of BS/BA degree, science-based education or experience preferred and 3 to 5 years direct regulatory experience is required
• Experience using multiple databases for tracking, saving, and management.
• Knowledgeable about regulatory terminology and EPA & State guidelines
• Knowledgeable in state regulatory submissions and tracking databases
• Must be currently eligible to work in the US

Preferred

• Ability to use Smartsheet as project management and tracking tool is desirable.
