ROLE PURPOSE 

  • Achieve sales and market share targets with channel partners and other customers, within the assigned sub-area
  • Collect account receivable within deadline set by Syngenta
  • Regularly collect and report market intelligence

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Create demand at farmer & customer level through campaign execution, focused on farm and generating pull spending min 4 days/week on customer facing activities and focusing to the most valuable and profitable customers (profit pools)
  • Demonstrate portfolio strengths and benefits at field level before and after launch, ensure follow up at grower level
  • Understand grower insights influence local certification consultants and decision makers (agronomists who writes prescription… etc) to ensure SYN products are listed
  • Execute promotional activities and ensure products and campaigns awareness at customer level
  • Collect customer complaints and feedback and facilitates settlement through Area Sales Manager. Responsible for complaint handling with own growers.
  • Arrange and ensure execution of sampling trials and demo trials (those owned by Customer Marketing and Technical Experts) to facilitate the following years sales. Responsible for local field days organization.
  • Exploit expertise and crop knowledge to support technically growers/ channel , in order to help in increasing penetration in the market and SoW, and to help the sales force to achieve their targets

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES

Critical knowledge

  • Current driver’s license
  • Bachelor Degree in Agriculture
  • Understanding of competitive environment
  • Agronomy: general cropping practices and agro technology

Critical experience

  • Basic Sales experience
  • Minimum 2 years sales department experience

  • Has deep and broad crop and product knowledge
  • Influencing and negotiation
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
