Qualifications

  • Ensure all warehouse and transport activities and processes are efficiently, correctly and timely managed. 
  • Be the main point of contact for Italy seed warehousing and distribution: provide visibility of the logistic related elements (e.g. stock, deliveries)
  • Coordinate and support the activities of the external providers and collaborate with the internal functions
  • Ensure smooth and optimize operations: monitor and analyze logistic activities, costs, adherence to KPI
  • Propose processes and system improvements and develop the implementations
  • Executions of the inputs needed in ERP and in other systems
  • Ensure internal and external compliance and perform related actions
  • Ensure 3rd party providers adherence to SOX & Syngenta internal standards 
  • Be responsible of inventory activities

Critical success factors & key challenges

  • Identifying and solving short term constraints and issues proactively
  •  Ability to see essential points in complex business processes and to find ways to improve them
  • Establish excellent working relationships with key players in the P&S, Commercial and other business relevant functions.
  • Effective collaboration with providers
  • Quick, pro-active and adequate communications towards Commercial Unit and Supply Chain
  • Development of solutions, WOWs with high success potential for implementation

Qualifications

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Excel advanced
  •  2-5 years of experience in Logistic or Supply Chain
  • SAP experience
  •  Mother language Italian, advanced English

Education/Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in Business, Logistics, Science or Engineering
  • Good analytical skill.
  • Customer-oriented
  • Experience managing internal communications, working cross functionally to deliver results
  •  Preferred experience in project and implementations

Additional Information

  • field of origin: mechanics, steel, plastics, agro, food (no large-scale retail trade)
