Seedcare Specialist

To support that challenge, the Commercial Sales Team is currently seeking a Seedcare Specialist that will be responsible for Syngenta Seedcare sales in the South Central Manitoba district which includes commercial treater applied and grower applied products.

We have a Flexible Work Location approach and this will be a remote role based in South Central Manitoba (Portage la Prairie, Brandon, Winnipeg).

Accountabilities

• Create demand for Syngenta Seedcare products in accordance with the annual sales and marketing plan.
• Develop the Western Canadian market for Syngenta Seedcare products by implementing research permit programs to field test products in development. Field demonstration of newly registered products so as to position products with customers, generate data for marketing and to enable transfer of Seedcare technology to customers and territory managers
• Provide expertise to sales team and customers in all aspects of seed treating technology, including trouble shooting, equipment recommendations, equipment set up, training of treating personnel and product stewardship

• Bachelors degree (preference for agriculture related degree or commerce)
• Relevant experience, i.e. agronomy, farm or retail management
• Knowledge of agronomy, pests, agricultural trends and agricultural equipment, including the requirements for pest control and Seedcare technology
• Knowledge of  Western Canadian seed industry, commercial treaters, customers, distributors, markets, structure, operational and sales requirements in Canada
• Knowledge of Seedcare product & technical usage in order to communicate requirements for effective pest control as per guidelines of labels, MSDS and government regulations
• Knowledge of product inquiry handling to ensure timely, accurate investigation, documentation and complete customer satisfaction
• Knowledge of competitors and competitive products and activities

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Crop Protection Products or Seed Industry preferred
• Certified Crop Science Certification (completed or in progress) and/or CCA an asset
