Role purpose

  • To provide technical and administrative support and assist with the day-to-day running of the Seedcare laboratory. Data Capturing & validation, and other adhoc tasks as required.
  • To support the on-farm seed treatment during peak times as assigned by the Line Manager

Accountabilities

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the Seedcare laboratory chemical analysis
  • Preparation of samples and equipment in the SCI laboratory
  • Create scientific reports and share with line Manager
  • Assist with a wide range of projects as and when required
  • Conduct onfarm seed treatment for farmers
  • Perform general administrative tasks
  • Contribute to Zambia Business Sustainability targets

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

  • BSc in Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with a range of cultures across the region, flexibility to accompany seedcare team on planting trials and seed drop off/collection
