SAC Analytics & Planning Lead

Role Purpose:

• To support Syngenta’s enterprise-wide financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes by designing and implementing robust, scalable solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud Planning.
• Responsible for translating business requirement into scalable planning models and dashboards, integrating SAC Planning with SAP & Non-SAP Data Sources and enabling decision making across Finance and operations.
• Strong SAC Planning Skills with a solid understanding of FP&A process & SAC Planning Scripting.

Responsibilities

• Solutions Design for Planning Use Cases – Translate business requirements into scalable SAC Planning models for financial forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis across domains.
• Design and Develop SAC Planning Models – Build advanced planning models aligned to Syngenta’s planning needs.
• Implement Data Actions and Advance Formulas – Develop and optimize complex data actions, multi-actions, and validation rules to support dynamic business logic and cross-functional scenarios.
• Collaborate with Business users – Work directly with finance business partners, planners, and regional stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver fit for purpose solutions.
• Planning Security and Controls – Implement and manage data locking, version control, and role-based access for planning users in line with Syngenta.
• Enable Data Driven Decision Making – Design Stories, Dashboard and value driver trees that empowers users with real time insights, variance tracking and actionable visualizations.
• Planning Governance – Configure and maintain planning calendars, data locking mechanisms, versioning workflows and audit trails to align with Syngenta’s policies.
• Drive Continuous Improvement & Automation – Identify process automations opportunities, propose solution enhancements, and stay updated with SAC Planning roadmap.
• SAC Planning Scripting – Scripting for advanced planning scenarios to implement business specific rules that go beyond standard configuration.
• UAT and Change Management – Co-ordinate and execute user acceptance testing , resolve defects, and contribute to change impact assessments and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Content Promotion & Transport – Migrate planning content across development, test and productions environments. Maintain change logs and coordinate with project teams on deployment cycles.

• 8 – 12 years of overall experience in SAP Analytics and planning solutions.
• 5+ Years hands-on experience in SAP Analytics Cloud Planning. Deep expertise in Planning Models, Data Actions and Story Development.
• Must have - Strong track record of delivering enterprise-wide FP&A solutions. Proficient knowledge in accounting: namely, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow .
• Must have – Strong experience in SAC Planning, Data Action Scripting, Multi-Actions, Data Locking, Planning Calendar, custom logic, calculation, validation & Data Integration.
• Preferred – Transport Management & Performance Tunning.
• Preferred – Certification such as CMA, CPA, or an MBA-Finance are a strong plus and demonstrate an understanding of planning and accounting principles relevant to SAC Planning projects.
