We are currently seeking a Regulatory Manager to join Syngenta Crop Protection’s Regulatory and Stewardship Department.  As a Regulatory Manager you are responsible for all aspects of product registration, from obtaining new registrations to maintaining current active ingredient/product registrations to meet strategic business needs. 

Duties:

  • Manage regulatory activities for the Professional Solutions portfolio, which includes, but is not limited to, new and current active ingredients (Ais), new and current end use products, new and current uses, new sources and other PRIA and non-PRIA actions.  
  • Successfully implement product registration strategies to ensure that registrations align with strategic business plans and meet growers’ / end-users’ needs.
  • Serve as principal contact with US EPA for all assigned active ingredients and related end- use products. Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with senior managers and others at EPA and other government agencies as needed on behalf of Syngenta.
  • Negotiate with EPA Product Managers to define registration targets and resolve issues to ensure Syngenta business strategies and timelines are met.
  • Actively participate in external task forces / work groups to support needed changes in regulatory policies and legislation.
  • Provide consultation and support on regulatory issues to internal and external business partners, including Marketing; Product Biology; Formulation Development; Supply Chain; Stewardship; State Regulatory; and Mexico, Canada, and Global Regulatory. Consult on data compensation, litigation, and business development.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or M.S. degree in a Crop Protection related scientific field or a B.S. degree in a Crop Protection related scientific field and at least 8 years of regulatory and/or crop protection experience.
  • Working knowledge in a broad range of scientific disciplines (e.g., biology, toxicology, environmental chemistry).
  • Understanding knowledge of FIFRA, FFDCA, ESA, and EPA registration requirements, policies, and processes.
  • Ability to work independently and in multifunctional teams.
  • Ability to effectively convey complex ideas both verbally and in writing and have strong presentation skills, and the interpersonal advocacy skills required for dealing with internal and external key stakeholder.
