Job description

As the Digital Business Operations Lead for Seeds R&D, you will spearhead the coordination and execution of digital operational activities across the organization. This pivotal role requires a strategic mindset to align digital initiatives with business objectives, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining operational excellence, fostering vendor relationships, and supporting the digital transformation of Seeds R&D operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that the Seeds R&D digital operational activities are completed in a timely manner and aligned to organization need and strategy.
  • Plan and maintain accurate and up-to-date information for all digital programs and projects. Provide reports to stakeholders to ensure transparency of work and facilitate timely decision-making.
  • Plan and maintain accurate and up-to-date information on assignment of all internal and external personnel to programs and projects to inform staffing decisions.
  • Work with key stakeholders to draft statements of work with third-party vendors. Partner with the financial operations lead to ensure that the SOW lifecycle is maintained in alignment with organization objectives and in compliance.
  • Collaboratively address key skills gaps in program and project management within the organization to accelerate adoption of best practices and guidelines.
  • Administer software licenses, track usage, and ensure optimal deployment across the organization.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in technology portfolio operations or technology delivery project management.
  • Proven experience in third party contract management with suppliers and vendors specializing in software engineering and software licensing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with experience querying, gathering, managing, preparing, and visualizing data in support of within and across program reporting.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel.
  • Highly proficient in Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Impeccable organizational skills and orientation to detail.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of agriculture and seeds research and development highly desirable.
  • Experience working in Smartsheet highly desirable.
