Regulatory Manager

As Regulatory Manager your purpose will be:

• To obtain and maintain license and freedom to sell Syngenta's products in the country, managing a range of products and providing strategic advice to the business in order to secure high-quality registrations, compliance activities and/or operational excellence.
• To contribute to the active ingredients defense at EU level by supporting the advocacy plan at national level.

Accountabilities

• Plan workload following legal timelines, project progress, and business need. 
• Support the registration dossier preparation to ensure high-quality regulatory documents fitting with national authorities’ requirements and marketing needs.
• Finalize Part A and build up registration dossiers with all sections delivered by Submission Manager. Submit dossier to national authorities and evaluators institute (INIA) to ensure completeness check.
• Manage registration submissions during the whole product life-cycle to ensure regulatory compliance in Spain: label, databases update.
• Answer to business needs: internal and external. Providing support to the regulatory communication to customers, to the commercial agreements with third parties, and to minor uses requirements from national authorities or key stakeholders.
• Work in close collaboration with the Asset team at a national level and the European regulatory team, inform and update the regulatory affairs manager and regulatory coordinator manager on issues, project changes, etc.
• Adapt Syngenta position papers on substance registration and generate supportive documents to be used in advocacy plans.
• Provide foresight, evaluation, and thorough analysis of current regulatory issues and future threats critical to the assigned portfolio.
• Provide expertise, and advice to business partners for the allocated portfolio to ensure that issues, challenges, and opportunities are progressed and addressed in a timely manner.

Critical knowledge

• Agronomist with a technical background.
• Good understanding of regulatory framework and expertise in regulatory processes (CP products).
• Strong verbal and written Spanish (C1-C2)
• English. (B2-C1)

Critical experience

• Must have experience working in Regulatory Affairs Department (CP products).
• Experience building dossier according to Regulation 1107/2009.
• Experience of successfully working across functions/departments.
