Syngenta’s Veg Production and Supply is looking for an enthusiastic:

Regional Logistics & Customs Manager

Into Action

As our Regional Logistics & Customs Manager you will be responsible for managing the regional distribution processes in support of customer satisfaction and sales growth. You will lead the regional team managing all modes of transportation for Vegetables and Flowers seed shipments in EAME. In addition, you will be accountable for maintaining customs duties -certifications and -operations as well as documenting and invoicing operations.

The Challenge

In the position of Regional Logistics & Customs Manager you will lead and manage the regional team to ensure speed, dependability, and efficiency in our logistics operations. You will ensure that internal and external customers' expectations and requirements are met while you also ensure the supply chain optimization. You will manage customs and tax including documenting and invoicing in accordance with phytosanitary certifications and import/export regulations on a tactical and operational level. You will manage contracts for 3PL warehouses and all types of freight in the region. Furthermore, you will own key performance indicators of the warehouses and transport providers; safety, quality, delivery and cost in the region. Last but not least, you implement and maintain the continuous improvement and best practice implementation for all processes.


Qualifications

Your Profile

To succeed in this position, you have five to ten years of experience in managing logistics/supply chain operations, preferably in biologics (cold chain). You can operate effectively in cross-functional teams and a matrix organization reporting to local management. You have good working knowledge of warehouse and transportation management systems & trade compliance systems. People describe you as an operational, hands-on, people leader who sets ambitious strategic goals. You are decisive and quick-thinking, and you have an excellent ability to balance the big picture with the attention to detail. You have strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills, also with the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. For this role you will travel intentionally 5-10% of the time.
