Job description

Accountabilities

  • Lead finance Function in Middle East (including Egypt)
  • Playing a key-role in ensuring the functioning of the operating model, transformation of Finance function and its continuous improvement
  • Working across boundaries leveraging the One Finance concept to provide seamless business support
  • As member of Board of Director take accountability and ownership for financial matters of the legal entity/entities in the country. Depending on size of entity some BOD activities could be delegated to other senior Finance member of the team.
  • Ensure seamless engagement and interaction with commercial, corporate and finance communities and stakeholders
  • Lead financial processes across P&L scope connecting with various stakeholders
    • P&L and WC management
    • Latest Outlook and Risks & Opportunities management
    • Coordinate planning cycle: sales and GP forecast, S&OP preparation
    • Lead the annual budget preparation process
    • Support the 5YP preparation and strategy co-creation with BU FI Head and Business
  • Geopolitical Risk Management
    • Monitor and assess geopolitical risks impacting financial operations
    • Develop contingency plans for various geopolitical scenarios
    • Ensure compliance with international sanctions and regulations
    • Maintain relationships with key banking partners and regulatory bodies
  • Treasury and Cash Flow Management
    • Secure and maintain multiple banking routes for cash movements
    • Implement robust cash flow forecasting and monitoring systems
    • Ensure business continuity through effective liquidity management
    • Optimize working capital in challenging market conditions
  • Co-create and review commercial terms and policies (price model, i.e. discounts / rebates / incentive plans), contracts, support of commercial processes (e.g. Battle Plans, in-season commercial terms tactics) and new business models (financial consideration and frameworks for strategic business projects)
  • Actively shape and improve the key business finance processes
  • Flexibly allocate time to coordinate, lead or support as appropriate strategic initiatives in the BA (GTM review, FiSo structuring and implementation, New business models implementation, collaborations).
  • Leverage our technology platforms to provide business insights and promote the use of our platforms within the business
  • Ensuring effective resource prioritisation based on sound risk-based cost and benefit analysis
  • To ensure governance models are working and related processes are fully compliant with group and local policies / regulations (participation in Board of Directors, Finance Leadership Team, Compliance Committee & Legal Entity leadership Team and any other relevant forum)
  • Ensure statutory & tax reporting obligations are in line with relevant laws & regulations
  • Provide management with sound risk-based analysis on potential impacts, implications and propose potential ways to mitigate risks on key changes regarding business, regulations or tax procedure law impacting finance
  • Advice Business on Tax compliant business practices
  • Attract, develop, and retain the right finance capabilities in the Finance function

Knowledge, Experience & Capabilities

 

Critical knowledge

 

  • Sound knowledge of business and industry drivers and commercial issues
  • Effective finance management of a business with full P&L responsibility
  • Best practices for the of annual budgets, latest estimates, and financial planning
  • Financial tools or principles of NPV, risk analysis, and value creation
  • Strong understanding of international banking systems and treasury operations
  • Understanding of risk mitigation tools in the country
  • Strong GAAP/IFRS knowledge
  • Good understanding of legal entity governance framework
  • Good understanding of Laws & regulations

Critical experience

 

  • A finance professional with 10-15 years of experience in different areas of business finance and controlling.
  • Experience in managing financial operations in geopolitically complex regions
  • Experience in working with cross functional teams and ability to work with all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience in influencing key stakeholders towards adopting and aligning to relevant procedures and tools.
  • Exposure to commercial operations
  • Experience in working with multi-cultural and virtual teams; coordination of work of others without direct reporting line.

  • Wide knowledge of finance (financial analysis, investment analysis, valuation analysis, risk management cashflow, treasury/banking budgeting / planning and taxation).
