To lead Demand Management & IBP (Integrated business planning/S&OP) process & capability in region.

  • Drives improvement in our forecasting processes using statistical modelling, portfolio segmentation, exception management, commercial plans (campaigns, promotions) and assumptions to drive the optimum plan.
  • To lead and set direction for the continuous improvement of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) capabilities across the AMEA Region for CP aiming to deliver measurable productivity improvements

Accountabilities

Demand Management

Set directions

  • Promotes and leads proficient use of demand sensing, demand shaping, “what if” forecasting techniques in alignment with strategic priorities
  • Constantly seek forecasting process improvement; Implements improvement initiatives in coordination with Global and Country Demand Planning and Sales Marketing functions
  • Coordinates and implements the defined set of global forecasting KPIs

Business process

  • Facilitate and coordinate forecasting process improvement, monthly country and regional demand review
  • Lead range review, manage product categorization, process segmentation, and set rules for exception management
  • Assist in development of replenishment strategies and objectives incl. customer service levels, inventory targets and safety stock levels together with country demand planning & supply teams
  • Accountable for IBP process in countries; Interface with Financial Forecasting, Budgeting, S&OP and Production & Supply

Shape Demand

  • Influence the development of a collaborative/consensus forecast
  • Facilitate agreement on forecast uncertainty
  • Highlight and facilitate agreement on how to manage opportunities e.g. pricing, excess stock/capacity etc.
  • Support to align Campaign Plans, Promotions with forecasts and manage Supply implications
  • Prioritize demand within region together with marketing as needed

Technical Expertise

  • Regularly refresh knowledge and best practices in area of sales forecasting, statistical forecasting, global forecasting system, analytics in line with the Global standards
