QMS Manager

Role purpose:

• Ensure continuous communication and awareness of HSE & compliance
• Ensure effective Implementation of Syngenta Quality management systems 
• Facilitate resolution /information sharing of customer complaints related to product quality through RCA and corrective/preventive actions.
• Focus on developing a Level1 audit plan that aligns with the APAC plan, and track the progress to ensure timely execution of audits
• Coordinate and facilitate inventory analysis and tracking to facilitate decision-making and release decisions
• Manage quality function CAPEX 

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain Quality Management Systems including Quality key requirements
• Manage & use of SAP system for quality master data and be a key user
• Execute usage of customer complaints, non-conformity, exceptional release, and document management EtQ modules in collaboration with P&S and commercial functions
• Contribute to monthly inventory reviews for stock usability & risk categorization, and track for liquidation of risk inventory to minimize the write-offs 
• Support India management review meetings & management of change (MOC)
• Drive RCA and ensure corrective/preventive actions for critical quality complaints and process non-conformities 
• Drive implementation of mechanization and digitalization initiatives that support driving efficiency and effectiveness in seeds operation quality 
• Close coordination with Quality Control and Quality assurance teams for process improvements 
• Support technical training to field and operations teams on quality management systems
• Train the team on the usage of EtQ modules, Qilk sense, and SAP reports
• Administrative activities for reliance EtQ for APAC 
• Coordinate for 3rd party lab testing to support export, regulatory and legal requirements  
   

Knowledge, experience & capabilities:
Critical knowledge:

• Seed quality testing methods (ISTA )
• Knowledge of seed production, processing, packing and supply operations
• Knowledge of IS tools - MS Office, SAP, Qlik sense, seed reliance EtQ, etc., 

Critical experience:

• Postgraduate in agriculture science (preferably specialization in Seed Science and Technology) with 5+ years of experience
• Seeds quality control, quality assurance & quality management system with a specific focus on field crops (Corn, Rice, Sunflower, Wheat)

Critical technical, professional, and personal capabilities:

• Good communication in the English, Hindi, and Telugu languages
• Ability to train people to transform selves into a technically competent and confident team 
• Ability to handle pressure and learn quickly
• Ability to build a relationship with team and stakeholders
• Identify issues and solve them, before they become problems.
• Productivity and continuous improvement mindset
