Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the development and growth of our IT Commercial mobile application that integrates closely with Salesforce. This role is crucial in driving our digital strategy and enhancing our customer experience in the agricultural sector.
Description and Role. Digital innovations, data and new technologies will transform the way crops are managed in the future and these technologies will also enable farmers and agronomists to enhance efficiency and improve sustainable food production. You will help to develop digital solutions that turns data into meaningful information and ultimately helps to grow more food with fewer resources.
This is a critical role within Global Commercial Platforms team in IT/Digital. The key focus of this role is to think big and innovatively, build digital platform of the future for the agriculture eco-system in India, to be used by millions of farmers and other stakeholders of the agri eco-system
Role Purpose:
- Define clear vision and future of the platform, customer interaction and ways of working
- Lead and drive development of product initiatives focusing on the farmers and sales rep eco system.
- To define and deliver business use cases that lead to strong adoption of the product in the market.
- Build cohesion and consensus across businesses for the digital roadmap of the product
- Engage with wide variety of stake holders within our commercial organisation, IT, external partners, farmers, etc. to deliver the value
- Create Functional Specifications, information architecture
- Ensure a world-class user experience with the help of UX Team
- Define KPIs, prioritize scope and features
Key Responsibilities:
- Creates vision, product roadmap and manage expectations
- Monitor and drive adoption of the product, focusing on the impact of the product in the market and drive value realization.
- Research on Product Capabilities and customer requirements
- Acting for the success of the customer, works closely with different divisions and departments including Sales, Marketing, Operations to develop the product roadmap.
- Engages closely with customers, channel, and partners to understand and map their ways of working to the product.
- Manages back log of the work, release management
- Identify releases, quality parameters
- Drives and manages - milestone release activities, quality gates, product documentation, self-hosting, feature validation by customer cohort, business KPIs, etc.
- Tracks trends in the agriculture market, technology landscape, technology trends and competition.
- Validates the solution designs with customers and partners
- Effectively conducts org-wide reviews and meetings.
- Manages multiple projects with critical timelines.
- Creates product comparisons, case studies etc.
- Manages Budget and Cost expenditure
Technical Knowledge
Expert Knowledge Of
- Product Management Life Cycle
- Business Analysis, requirement management
- Customer Relationship Management
- Prior experience of product management
- Stakeholder management
- Agile Methodology in mobile app development preferably
- Understanding of Agriculture Domain Preferable
- Negotiation Skills

- CRM Tools, preferably Salesforce
- Technical Trends and Analysis involving mobile development and Salesforce
Other Requirements
- At least 10-15 years of experience with at least 5 years in the role like product manager/owner
- Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools
- Working experience Agriculture Industry and Technology background is preferable
- Experience in collaborating and working with wide variety of business users and technical experts
- Enjoy working in a highly dynamic environment with an agile mindset.
- Experience of working with highly integrated application landscape.
- Ability to work with ambiguity on business needs.
- Eye for the end goal and patience for working through transformation out of legacy.
