To support that challenge, the Maintenance team is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op in St. Gabriel, LA. The co-op engineering student program is a continuous full-time position. This 30+ year program is open to Mechanical Engineering students who will get to work in the demanding world of chemical facility maintenance.

Estimated Duration: May 2026 – July 2027
You will:
- Perform equipment studies for reliability engineering
- Create sketches and part drawings for fabrication
- Develop testing and feasibility studies using fundamental engineering principles
- Scope and execute small capital projects
- Develop equipment repair procedures and check-sheets
- Assist Maintenance Engineers in daily work

Qualifications
What you must have:
- Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering program with a Junior class standing and good academic standing with the university
- Relevant core basic science/engineering classes through Sophomore level: (ie Physics, Chemistry, Fluids Mechanics, Statics, Strengths, Thermodynamics, etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft Office or equivalent
- Fluent in English
- Minimum GPA 2.5 overall/major
