You lead the Push Process Operations from Harvest to Ready Stage for EAME Commercial Corn Production, to optimize the availability of seeds reaching Syngenta Quality standards in agreement with planning and at optimized costs

On a regular basis report process advancement, expected availability by levels of quality and follow agreed KPI’s.

The Process Manager is actively involved in all projects aiming to improve seed quality of our operations, reduce level of Write Offs and Quality Losses, improve recovery and develop our processing capacity.

The position is offered on a permanent contract, based in France/ Saint Sauveur (31) or Hungary/ Mezotur.

Regular business travel required, in Europe (4-6 per year)

Starting date: August 2023

Accountabilities:

Being member of PVR (Product Variance Request) and SPS (Seeds Product Specification) committees, monitor the quality of seed provided to markets and customer expectations: set standards and processes to customer expectations while also monitor and control cost.

In case of received Customer Complaints, provide all necessary information for investigation, participate in Root Cause Analysis and in working out Corrective Actions.

Define EAME sizing plan in line with market needs and with processing strategy defined crop management.

Coordinate and improve mini-sizing operations at sites and subcontractors to facilitate in-time sizing scheme decisions. Create clear guidance for sizing scheme definitions to allow min. 90% local decisions, provide support for rest.

Follow up sizing advancement with sites/subcontractors, provide a continuous view on their contribution in the EAME plan and advancement.

Coordinate Usage Decision (UD) with country production managers and/or internal plant managers. Provide guidance when situation requires specific attention and decision (poor quality, reprocess, blending, seeds transfer…).

Accountable for preparation of weekly and seasonal reports, highlight issues, propose solutions in case of need (quality issues, delays).

Establish the list of batches out of quality standards or obsolete. Monitor and lead the Write Off – take accountability on the time of submitting, and physical destruction.

Maintain process descriptions on the main activities of the Process Expert.

Maintain Process Guidelines for sites/subcontractors which clearly describes the basic processes to be performed from harvest until treating (e.g., sampling, labelling, sample sending and follow up, mini-sizing, reporting, etc.)

Season preparation: create, follow up and fix sizing RCCP, view Process Guidelines and SPS/PT with sites/subcontractors before each season start.

Monitor new technologies (improving quality, capacity, cost) and work together with sites to work out implementation plan.

Provide historical data for New Harvest recovery rate estimation and own the in-season Availability reporting process – in agreement with Crop Lead for Planning purposes.


Qualifications

Master's/Engineer’s degree in Agronomy, 5 years’ experience minimum, in a seeds company in a similar role in seed processing area.

Ability to make tough decisions under pressure, in coordination of a complex supply organization (frequent upstream and downstream communication).

You are a real facilitator, you are a good communicant, organised and rigorous.

Skilled with Information Systems: SAP, Microsoft Office – with special skills on Excel and PowerPoint

Fluent in English is mandatory to evolve in our international organisation.
