We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Principal Technical Lead-Software Engineering Manager to lead one of our software engineering teams as well as the technical vision and implementation of complex technology solutions. As a Principal Technical Lead-Software Engineering Manager, you will architect and design high-performance, scalable, and reliable software systems. This role involves providing technical leadership, mentoring the engineering team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on product strategy and roadmap planning.

  • Drive best practices in coding standards, testing, and code reviews.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and evaluate emerging technologies.
     

Accountabilities:

  • Work directly with stakeholders and technical partners to design and implement cutting edge software solutions that supports the business.
  • Lead a team of developers in development of software solutions in accordance with agreed release plans and associated solution designs for the business applications within their delivery team.
  • Responsible for evolving our long-term roadmap of projects, defining tech stack & operational strategies.
  • Provide technical mentorship, drive software engineering initiatives, and build end-to-end data solutions that are highly available, scalable, stable, secure, and cost-effective.
  • Work with a wide range of technologies (e.g. Java, Full Stack, Python, AWS, GCP etc) and stay abreast of emerging technologies, investigating and implementing where appropriate.
  • Responsible for developing the data architecture components that scales for the ever-evolving data needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8-12 years of extensive development experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing software engineering teams
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
  • Expertise in Java, Python, advanced knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, Cloud and DevSecOps.
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering and data architecture.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools.
  • Knowledge of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and agile development practices.
  • Expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning products, Algorithms, Implementation and deployment techniques.
  • Experience with scalable and high-performance system design.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance and data privacy laws.
  • Strong understanding of software security and data protection.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience supporting a data science and machine learning organization end-to-end
  • Experience creating a strong team environment across a large set of separate agile teams and stakeholders
  • Experience in change management and digital transformation
  • Leadership and team management skills.  Experience in mentoring and developing team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
