  • Provide strategic support to set and implement portfolio direction for CP business in line with Portfolio/Indication strategy
  • Leverage asset category across crops and optimize utilization, NPV
  • Evaluate market opportunities, its potential, portfolio development, risk assessment and overall manage existing and upcoming assets to drive registration/ label claim recommendations
  • Ensure PLC mgmt and opportunity maximization of the assets in coordination with R & D, Regulatory, Supply & Finance.
  • Work closely with Heads of Assets to identify key strategic focus (market pull) and help create portfolios that maximize success of the product/portfolio strategy (as measured by profit, share, satisfaction)
  • On the business side, as a Senior Manager will be required to contribute to the overall business strategy and grow portfolio across crops into the future
  • Implement strategic push of assets/platforms to relevant SMSes to ensure projected financial targets for individual assets are met
  • Create portfolio performance and market positioning updates and help identify gaps to be filled (to discuss with Head of Asset/Category)
  • Plan, review, challenge, and consolidate all category relevant aspects of portfolio strategies and business cases into short mid and long term priorities and actions
  • Support the Head of Asset to drive implementation of crop portfolio strategies in
  • Support the Head of Asset working with functional leads as needed to drive strategic projects through completion
  • Leads the team of 1-2 Asset Product/Brand Managers, mentoring them on day to day basis

Strategy and Business accountabilities

  • Ensure effective positioning of the products responsible for.
  • Support with Data and analysis for the development of 5-year CP portfolio strategies in coordination with Sr. Product manager aligning key portfolio strategies to enable profitable market share growth and get consensus on priorities and resource plans.
  • Develop and monitor market intelligence, bringing in customer insight into Portfolio Leadership Team.
  • Manage alignment with asset teams; coordinate and support as per requirement
  • Build business case for new product ideas.
  • Ensure robust brand launch plans are developed, implemented and reviewed on regular basis for new and strategic products.
  • Develop and manage key account relationships, providing marketing and technical support

  • Establish connectivity with asset teams to ensure effective/efficient  communication.
  • Ensure firewalls are maintained between key accounts.
  • Work closely with CP team for portfolio and specific projects.
  • Work closely with Business Planning and Development Manager in the development of market opportunities and KAM relationship

  • May require extensive interaction with Key Accounts who may be competitors of Syngenta.  Ability to maintain a firewall is critical.
