We are currently seeking for a Digital Agronomy Expert – Disease Control (M/F) to join our team in Guyancourt (78). For this role, we are offering a permanent contract.

 

Role purpose

 

You will :

  • Be an integral member of our Disease Control ‘SMS Teams’ (Strategic Market Segments) targeting to find the best solutions for growers across EAME leveraging a full (internal & external) toolbox of conventional CP, biological and Digital Ag / Service solutions
  • Ensure that we have the best diseases models & monitoring technologies portfolio across EAME that can bring value to the market and be integrated into divers Syngenta services / tools / offers
  • Drive the transformation of our portfolio of ‘Plus/Services’ in the area of Digital Agronomy and New business models to include sustainable, value-adding elements, help defend our existing Product portfolio as well as develop new, innovative Service offers
  • Mobilize & coordinate various functions and Teams in order to build pertinent algorithms (Data Science & Modelers), Dig. Products (IT developers) and ensure that we design a Dig Products/Services Portfolio in a smooth and agile way, that answer to customers pain points and delivers value to market and adoption by local teams
  • Ensure Product / Service Market fit and liaise with Commercial Experts to help maximize value capture

 

 

Accountabilities

 

  •  Act as the focal point and “owner” of all the features that fits to designated portfolio of Digital Agronomy Solutions & Services. You will participate from idea generation to final Digital Product / Service launch and scale up. You will support EAME budget management and resources prioritization.
    For this purpose, you will :
    • Prioritize the market needs across EAME in terms of crops & pest models that would create adoption of our digital solutions, through experimentation and market survey
    • Explore and evaluate the maturity and the performance of the various players in EAME: Institute, start-ups, and monitor competitor’s benchmark.
    • Assess potential market impacts of the disease’s models portfolio and value creation opportunities. (How would this feature change grower practices? How much value could we capture?).
    • Explore third party companies for potential collaboration and manage third part relationship to co-develop and sell Digital Product /Services
  • Lead discussion and decision-making process on the best delivery platform for each feature with EAME and Global team
  • Collaborate and act as a connexion point with several teams inside Syngenta and be an integral part of the appropriate EAME SMS teams

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in agronomy or related
  • Successful experience in agronomy (5 to 10 years) with a focus in digital agronomy / AgTech (2-3 years)
  • A marketing/commercial experience would be a plus
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in English
