Job description

To support this mission, our Finance and Business Partnering Team is seeking a NA Crop Protection Marketing Finance Business Partner to lead the Crop Protection Finance Marketing support. This role involves supporting the US Crop Protection business, focusing on product strategy for Crop Protection and Seed Care, as well as Key Account Management and Marketing. The person will lead finance team members supporting Key Accounts, Digital Agriculture, Business Planning, and other functions like Customer Service and Technical Services. They will influence business strategy and decision-making by providing financial expertise and challenging business perspectives. Additionally, they will lead and develop the Commercial Finance Analyst team and promote the EODB agenda within USCP.

 

Accountabilities:


• Gross-to-Net Management and Pricing Strategy
o Lead the development and maintenance of gross-to-net pricing models
o Model and analyze price changes, assessing their impact on product profitability
o Support annual pricing discussions during the budgeting process
o Continuously monitor and report on product profitability
o Optimize discount schemes and structures
o Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to develop pricing strategies that balance market
   competitiveness and profitability
o Provide insights on pricing trends and recommend adjustments to maintain target margins


• Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis 
o Lead 5-year financial planning for Crop Protection and Seed Care
o Develop comprehensive business cases for programs and initiatives
o Conduct scenario modeling and analysis for critical business decisions
o Provide financial counsel to Marketing and Key Account teams


• Team Management and Development 
o Lead a team of 3 finance analysts (junior and senior)
o Develop business partnering skills and promote technology adoption
o Drive process harmonization and encourage the use of advanced analytics


• Financial Reporting and Budget Management 
o Oversee budget management and financial reporting for Crop Protection and Marketing
o Develop and maintain financial models and reporting tools
o Manage allocation of discretionary resources across Commercial Units


• Process Improvement and Innovation 
o Support the redemption system change from a Finance perspective
o Contribute to "EODB" project, focusing on process documentation and improvement
o Identify and implement finance process enhancements
o Leverage technology and data analytics to improve financial operations


• Cross-functional Collaboration 
o Participate in Marketing and Key Account management projects
o Support strategic initiatives and special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field of study
  • Master’s degree or CPA preferred

Critical experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of accounting/finance experience
  • Business partnering experience required
  • Financial planning, analysis, modelling, and benchmarking skills. Standard financial analysis tools, i.e., NPV, risk assessment, and value creation.
  • Experience preparing company budgets
  • Skilled in communicating effectively across functions while providing decision support services. Proficient in generating and delivering ad hoc financial analyses.

  • Strong liaison with Partner Rewards, Commercial Units, Pricing, and Marketing to identify and implement best practices to maximize business performance and customer experience.

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required)
  • Experience with SAP strongly preferred.

Additional Information

  • Two years in current position preferred. Candidates who have been in their current position a minimum of one year will be considered if they have the approval of their current business unit leader and hiring business unit leader. 
  • Must sign a non-compete if offered this position.
